Owner and operator of The Mill, bringing over 20 years of restaurant and hospitality experience to the Sonoma County dining scene. He is proud to realize his longtime dream of opening his own establishment alongside an exceptional team.

The Mill is fortunate to have an incredible team of culinary and hospitality professionals, many of whom have worked with Chef Dana Jaffe for more than two decades. Built on trust, shared history, and a love of hospitality, this team is more family than staff—and it shows in every detail.
About Us
The Mill is one of the oldest buildings in the region. Originally built by General Mariano Vallejo in 1839 to harvest redwood and Douglas fir trees. In 1856, Vallejo sold The Mill to one of the area's first winemakers, Joshua Chauvet, who converted it to a grist mill, using the grind stones his father had brought to California from France.
Once milling on the property ceased in the 1881 Jack London Village remained the home of the Glen Ellen Winery and Distillery for nearly a century. Sanjeev opened The Mill at Glen Ellen in 2020.
